    The original author of MINA (working for JBoss/RedHat) seems to favour his new framework now: Netty
    https://netty.io/

    I’ve had a quick look and the concepts is very similar, yet the API is not :- )

    The Apache FTP server is one of notable product based on MINA2 framework.

    I’d recommend Apache FTP server for FTP server solution (especially in Windows) because of it’s easiness to install and default configuration.
